Superman was cast in an antagonistic role in Rocksteady's Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. Video games that feature Superman's most well-received appearances tend to have him supporting a more extensive cast of DC heroes, as in NetherRealm's Injustice and the Lego games, respectively.

U/TJATOMICA was able to create this short gameplay sequence in Unreal Engine 5 in under two weeks as he's "been fooling around in Unreal Engine 5, dreaming of a modern Superman game. This is the case with Reddit user u/TJATOMICA, a game developer, who posted his Superman demo yesterday to the r/Gaming subreddit. While that may have put off some of these fans, others have made their own interactive adventures involving Superman. However, they are usually awful, and very few of them have managed to match Superman's storytelling and gameplay potential. DC's Superman has appeared in several stand-alone games over the years, from the infamous Superman 64 to the long-forgotten Superman Returns tie-in from 2006. The result is enough to make one yearn for a fully playable title starring Superman, perhaps set in the Arkhamverse. A game developer makes a Superman demo on Unreal Engine 5 It looks like it was made using assets from Spider-Man, but there's no confirmation. Seeing this masterpiece in Unreal Engine 5 makes me feel warm inside. Unreal Engine 5 has been the engine so far because of how much better it is than the already successful Unreal Engine 4. This is simply a demo, or demonstration of HOW it would look, and not reflective of an actual game. Reddit user u/Tjatomica made a Superman clip that shows exactly how a game with him would look. Using Unreal Engine 5, this game developer for tbxgames has done what I could only dream of seeing until today.
